The family’s roots are in Sancerre. Joseph Mellot has been a historic family estate for over 5 centuries, beginning in 1513 with Pierre-Etienne Mellot, 1st of a long line of winegrowers.

Today, Maison Joseph Mellot operates vineyards in all the 8 appellations of the Centre-Loire region: Sancerre, the family’s historic birthplace, Pouilly-Fumé, Quincy, Reuilly, Menetou-Salon, Coteaux du Giennois, Châteaumeillant and Pouilly-sur-Loire. Maison Joseph Mellot wines reflect their precious terroirs, chiselled with finesse, elegance, precision, minerality and freshness. A Maison style that can be found in every cuvée.
