Castorani
Castorani is located in the central Italian region of Abruzzo, on the hills of a small town called Alanno in the province of Pescara, in the heart of the Casauria area. The estate at 350 meters above sea level and framed by the great Apennine mountains, which surround Castorani like the ancient stone walls of an amphitheatre. These mountains are the Maiella and Morrone, south of the winery, and the Gran Sasso and Monti della Laga National Park in the north, and guarantee excellent sun exposure with ideal climatic conditions that enhance ripening process of the grapes.
The vineyards, which extend for about 100 hectares, are naturally farmed, cultivated with the utmost respect for the environment, and they produce grapes from certified organic farming. A modern structure with a professional kitchen and a space for events and conferences stands at the centre of the estate in the shadow of the historic Villa Castorani: the resort, guest rooms, a wine resort, entirely built underground and benefits from a naturally cool temperature all year round. The winery is the expression of the Casauria territory. Castorani respects the noblest Italian winemaking traditions, such as the use of concrete vats, and meticulously cares for all details of the production process, from the vineyards to the bottling.
